Product Preview Settings

With the given login credentials you can access your account at Skin Match Technology by logging in at getskinmatch.com.

Click on Administration > Edit Questionnaire > Products

Add a new product

You can do so by clicking the plus in the white circle at the right lower corner. You need the EAN to add a new product. The EAN is the unique identifier for the algorithm and is the first thing you need to add for a new product. For each EAN you can edit the image links, price, name, or shopping links individually per language. 

Delete a product

Delete a product by clicking on the bin icon and clicking on “Yes, delete to confirm the deletion”. If your product is just out of stock, we recommend setting it as inactive instead of deleting it.

Set a product as Inactive

If you are out of stock or for any other reason would like to hide a product, click on the edit pen of said product and select Inactive.

Once the product is set inactive, it will be visible in gray.

Edit a product

Edit a product by clicking on the edit pen. Make sure you edit the product in all languages by navigating to the different language settings within the product.

Normal Treatment in Matches vs. Preferential Treatment in Matches

You have the option of pushing products forward, as long as the product match is highest. For example, User A has 3 top product matches, the product with preferential treatment gets displayed in the first place. Otherwise, the placement is random. 

Once products are set as preferential treatment in matches, they will appear with a yellow mark on the side.

NOTE

Any settings regarding the recommendation algorithm, can only be adjusted in the Product Database and not in the Product Finder Dashboard itself.

  • The shopping URL is the URL of the product detail page from your website in the specific language and currency. This will allow the User to read more about the product and will enable the button “View Product” without leaving your site. 

  • For the image URL, you can go to your website and find the image you want to set as the product image on the result page of the product finder. 

    1) Go to the product detail page of your website and select the image you want to use in the product finder result.

    2) Click right on the image and select Open Image in New Tab.

    3) Copy the URL you opened in the new tab.

    4) Paste the URL into the field Image URL: http(s):// of the specific product

    5) Make sure you change it in all languages by navigating at the top of the slide editor.

    6) Click “Save” and continue with the next product 

    7) Preview your Settings by going back and clicking on Edit Questionnaire > Overview

  • Yes, you can connect a product feed to automatically update product information. Please send your current product feed to your Project Manager with the request to add it to your Product Finder setup. We will review the Feed and give you feedback on the next steps.

  • In the Product Settings, you can add the Price and Currency as you have it on your website. To change the display order of Currency and Price as well as dots and commas;

    1) Go to Question Flow and click on the Edit pen of the first slide.

    2) Click on the Price Format selection

    3) Pick the Price Format you want to display.

    4) Click “Save”

  • Yes, if you edit a product you have previously added in the Product Finder you can now add an Optional Internal SKU Number or Identifier. This is a free text field and allows numbers as well as letters.
